Poetic demi-god Reggie Edmonds-Vasquez brings their genius to headline this monthly showcase of the North Bay’s best poets for an afternoon of creative lyrical destruction. First Saturdays in Petaluma.
Found Poets! is about the entertainment of the spirit through performance poetry. From our development program grads to nationally acclaimed headliners, Found Poets! is a challenging, committed poetry community dedicated to hosting a good night out.

Reggie Edmonds-Vasquez
Reggie Edmonds-Vasquez (they/them) is a poet, educator, and cultural curator from Richmond, California, whose work explores the intersection of Black, Queer, and Gender Non-Conforming identities. They are the co-founder of Rich Oak Events, organizing poetry slams and platforms like Bay Poets Unite. Their writing has been published in Rigorous Magazine, Foglifter Journal, and Red Wheelbarrow, and they have self-published two chapbooks: I'm Too Black For This Shxt (2017) and SadBoi (2019).
A dedicated arts advocate, Reggie has received fellowships from organizations such as Nomadic Press, Afro Urban Society, and Shuffle Collective. In 2024, they served as a Poet-in-Residence at the Museum of the African Diaspora (MoAD), leading workshops with young writers. Their work continues to blend poetry with activism, using storytelling as a tool for empowerment and cultural dialogue.
